I think that'd be a good idea, because I don't find it very fun to be sitting around an outpost for any long period of time asking if anyone there has the same quest I have. Something like this would make it a lot easier to find people to group with.

If that was worldwide, that would be soooo great....
And resource-consuming.
But a great idea, anyways.

Only if it had an option to be looking for a group. I'd hate to have a quest that a lot of other people had, and be using class everyone needs (Monk) and get a ton of invites when I didn't even want to do that quest at the time.
/signed as long as there is an option to not be using it

That would be a very nice thing to have.
But agree, an option to use it or not should also be there.

I'm very encouraged that people now consider only the merits of the idea and not what they assume they know about programming limitations/developer resources. A good idea is a good idea. Let Anet know what we want and then let them see what they have the resources for.
Good job guys.

It's a great idea but that might cause a lot of lag, especially if it was global. I have lots of quests that i've never gone to the trouble to complete and i don't want to get a bunch of party invites from peeps every time i enter a town.

Great a whole bunch of invites as soon as I zone into an area. It takes 10 seconds to type x/X lfg for ....
The idea isn't that bad but this case it would cause more problems than it solves

/signed, so long as you have the option to keep your quest list 'hidden' so you don't get invites if you're not looking for a group.

So pretty much its a party search that automatically says your looking to do every single quest you have unless you hide your quests. Or you could just do it the old way which has worked pretty darn well so far.

Notsigned. If I'm on a random character in a town doing something, I don't need random people inviting me constantly because I happen to have a certain quest in my questlog. How annoying would that be after a while? Not only that, think of the resources, both programming and server demand, that this would take.

some of you are going on about server space and lagg it would not be that bad just a diffrent form of the current Party Search menu that dose the same it show requests in that server across all that servers districts and in the case of the EU server it shows searches for other languages and there districts
PS i got board so i did a rubbish thing with paint showing how it could possibly look so have a look comment take the micky etc

I think a better idea would be an automatic party search. you could check the box to show you're doing the quest then the search could pull up the names of everyone whos doing it in the town instead of combing thru all the text to see whos doing your quest. It probably wouldn't use up that many more resources than the current party search does. It would be for ONLY the quest ur doing so u wouldn't get annoying invites for things you're not intested in.
